Samantha Holroyd is a Board Member of Chord Energy and serves on the Audit and Reserves Committee and as Chair of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee. She was previously a member of the Board of Oasis Petroleum, serving as the Chair of the Nominating, Environmental, Social & Governance Committee and as a member of Audit and Reserves Committee. Ms. Holroyd also served as Oasis’s Lead Independent Director from late 2020 to early 2021. Previously, Ms. Holroyd served as an independent board member for Gulfport Energy from 2020 to 2021. She has served as an independent advisor to the energy industry since 2020 through Golden Advisory Services, LLC, a consulting firm, and began serving on the Board of Directors for Amerant Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: AMTB) in 2022. At Amerant, she serves on the Risk Committee, Nominating & Governance Committee and the Compensation Committee.

Ms. Holroyd began her career as an engineer, including roles as a Senior Reservoir Engineer with Tenneco Ventures Corporation, an oil and gas exploration, production and financing company, and as a Reservoir Engineer with Atlantic Richfield Company, an oil and gas company. Ms. Holroyd would go on to hold several leadership positions, serving as Global Reserves Audit Manager and Business Opportunity Manager at Royal Dutch Shell PLC, a global oil and gas company; Vice President of EIG Global Energy Partners, a provider of institutional capital to the global energy industry; and Vice President of Ryder Scott Company, a petroleum consulting firm. From 2011 to 2016, she served as Technical Director at Denham Capital Management LP, an energy and resources-focused global private equity firm. From 2016 to 2018, she served as a Managing Director at TPG Sixth Street Partners, a global finance and investment firm. From 2018 to 2020, Ms. Holroyd served as a Managing Director at Lantana Energy Advisors, an advisory firm specializing in energy transactions, which was a division of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc., the corporate and investment banking arm of Truist Financial Corporation.

Ms. Holroyd received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, holds FINRA Certifications (Series 79 and Series 63), and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. She also is a Certified Corporate Director by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and is NACD Certified in ESG.
